I don't know what kind it was.
It was an encoding altimeter, not all that uncommon. I am unaware of an STC for it, however, there was no 337 form for it. Kollsman makes one, that is both in. hg, and millibars http://www.kollsman.com/downloads/28007.pdf Most people use simple altitude encoders, today.
