Jack Pads for P337 Gear Swing
Howdy all.
As has been discussed ad naseum in other threads, my 77-P337 is over at Pilots Choice Aviation here in Georgetown getting rubber-gloved on the FAA SAIB CE-10-20. Beth's Crew Chief says he sees something that doesnt look quite right with the stringers, but is not saying the sky is falling until he can huddle-up with the other techs. While they have it, I've asked them to fix my gear horn problem. Rob called yesterday to ask if I had jack pads for the plane. Of course I doNT. ![]() I called my local SkyMaster reference, George Brown is an A&P here in GTU with 15 yrs rebuilding 337's. He's owned two. I asked if he knows where I might find jack pads. He says that pads for the C-210 would almost certainly work, and pads that Pilots Choice uses for their C172RG would PROBABLY work. Anybody out there have any thoughts on the subject? Naturally, since it means risking damage to the plane, I'd MUCH rather be safe than sorry. Grassy-ass Cole Last edited by N5ZX : 03-25-10 at 01:34 PM. |
