Sandi & I took the Dayton Aviation Trail tour as organized by CPA a few years ago. We used Commander Aero as our FBO, stayed at a downtown hotel, toured the Wright Bros. museum, the Wright Bros. cycle shop museum, the Huffman Prairie flying field, the Air Force museum at Wright Field and the Air Force museum on the Wright-Patterson base which houses their AF#1 and X-plane collection and also took a tour of the Hartzell manufacturing plant. Commander kindly provided a buffet lunch. All tour transportation was provided for. Just the Wright Field museum and airbase museums are all of a day's "work". They have a cafeteria for a lunch break. Even devoting a day will not provide enough time to actually read and study all of the informational material posted with the displays but affords enough time for a walk through. Attached are a few photos that might pique your interest.
