The front tach indication was intermittent, then failed altogether. I swapped the front and rear engine magnetic pickup connections to the tach gauge and proved that the fault was not in the gauge. I verified wiring and connections to the front magnetic pickup were good, then removed the pickup from the magneto. It reads as an open circuit on a DMM. I measured the rear-engine pickup and it does measure a resistance, though I don't recall the value at the moment. I have not been able to locate any specs on the part, beyond the old and replacement part numbers.

I had the same problem. Took mine out and replaced with the aerospace logic digital gauge. Its awesome. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I saw that. But what I didn’t see is the list of approve aircraft for the STC. So I’m asking if there’s more documentation then what is displayed on the website?
