There is a picture out there that shows the front prop laying on the ground, looked like the blades were feathered. Not flat relative to the flange.

Agreed that it looks feathered. Given that they were very low starting a few miles out I wonder if he had fuel issues and fixated on the front. He wasn't on comms after the last routine call in (as I recall), and one engine should have been more than enough to come in fairly normally.
Think most survived, so I'm surprised there isn't a more definitive update. Guess once the news gets old for earth-bound folks it's up to the NTSB to get more info. |
