MOSAIC and the 337

59 knots 68 MPH is the clean wing max stall speed to be considered a Light Sport aircraft. Does a STOL equipped 337 such as Horton or Robertson qualify the 337 if installed? For those of you who have those kits installed what does your flight manual supplement say your stall speed is clean wing?

The numbers for these mods did not change in the STTC, maybe Robertson but I would have to confirm but the other mods did not adjust the numbers in their STC

Robertson RSTOL might make it

As much as I would enjoy backing FAA against a wall, while holding a rolled newspaper under its chin, I'm not sure of the benefit?

1. No annual / lower maintenance -

Probably not a good idea to skip entirely.
Maybe no longer tied to A&P and IA in short supply?
Allows more maintenance providers to compete and fill the shortage?

2. Cheaper insurance? -

HA HA HA.
I spilled my drink.

3. No medical? -

Currently, you need to pass a one-time 3rd class to initially get your FAA private,
Thereafter, you can go and stay basic med until you either die or are killed off.

4. Keep your existing FAA medical?

Not related to MOSAIC.
See #3 above

5. Already lost medical? - (Over minor issue?)

THAT is the remaining problem....
