![]() Hi
I have a 1973 T337GP (79C) My encoding chip broke in my arc encoding altimeter (42540-3128) and they want $900 to fix. Any suggestions? anybody have a spare that they want to sell, any shops that will fix for less? Is there an altimeter that will swap out the broken one? Any help at all. Thanks Adam |

![]() I may have what you need. Mine is a part #42540-2128. It was last certified 04-30-01 and was removed during a complete panel upgrade. Give me a call @ 559-791-1866 ask for Dave Farrar

Why not install a blind encoder for 150 dollars. Forget about using the built-in encolder.

blind encoder
Hi
Thanks that is an option. I am planning to upgrade my panel within the next 6 months. There is not alot of room behind the panel. If I cannot find a replacement that is exactly what i will do. Adam |

![]() My EA-401 encoding altimeter was removed from S/N P3370204.
The service parts manual for the EA-401A & EA-801A shows that the -3128 and -2128 are both unlit, 28volt, and the baroset window is in.Hg. Thanks, Dave Farrar |

re encoder
The ameriking is very small and can be placed almost anywhere. I use one as a second encoder with a second transponder. This one is far easier to calibrate.

small
Hi
Took a look at the unit, very small indeed. The are retailing for $160 new plus connectors and ifr certification. Thanks Adam |
