When I sold my first airplane, a 1973 Cherokee 180 that I owned for over 15 years (and flew since it was new), I literally cried. But, having moved from Washington DC to Texas, where distances were much further, I needed more speed for the airplane to be practical transportation. I wanted a Skymaster to replace the Cherokee, but it wouldn't fit in my T hanger, and I couldn't imagine keeping an airplane outside in an area so prone to hail. So, I settled for a Mooney, which I owned for about 5 years. Then, about 3 years ago, my telecom software business when belly-up. I sold the Mooney (and the boat, the bank took the house and my Surburban!). Now, I'm back in DC and broke, but starting a new business venture and expect to be back in the saddle (in a Skymaster this time) in about six months. Hang in there Kevin! Every road has an occasional speed bump! Just remember, every adversity brings with it the seeds of an even greater opportunity (some of you will undoubtedly recognize that quote). And oh yea, that which does not kill us makes us stronger.

Regards,
Jim
