Strobe in place of beacon

I would like to replace my flashing beacon with a strobe, but can not find the room to do so. The beacon right upper vertical stab fairing is to narrow to take the Whelen self contained Comet Flash(HRCF) and I do not know where to put the power supply(the A490CF) for the A470 Strobe. Would those that have done this please advise me. I have a 1973 P and do not have a mounting bracket for the power supply - at least where I looked in the horizontal stab.
Thanks.
George C.
