Gear Horn and Volts High Light
I have experienced two problems which have baffled my mechanics and hope someone has advice or suggestions as to the possible causes and solutions.
1. While taxing on several occasions the gear horn has sounded with the gear down and locked. Someone told me to cycle the manual gear extension pump a couple of times and that seems to do the trick. 2. Approximately 30% to 40 % of the time when in flight and the gear is extended the Volts High light illuminates and the rear alternator drops off line. The problem goes away when the reset procedure in the POH. What would cause this to occur only when the gear is cycles down? Thank you in advance for any help/comments, BKING |

This almost seems like a short in the wire. I'd look around where the mains rotate and where the nose gear swivels.
