TCM SID97-3E - How to adjust TCM Fuel Injection Systems
TCM emailed this to me and I would like to share it with the group. It is SID97-3E dated 6/17/08. It is the instructions on how to adjust the TCM fuel injection systems.

It's an excellent Service INFORMATION Directive. It is not REGULATORY, so you can set the engine up as per the SID, then add FF until the Target EGT is correct. We have found that the best operational set-up is to set the unmetered LOW pressure at the bottom of the range and the HIGH pressure at the top of the range, then tweak the max FF up. This results in good mixture at low powers and adequate FF to keep CHTs and ICPs under control at high power settings.

If you are in the Mid-West and need this serviced performed Griswold Aviation in Marshall, MI (KRMY) can do the adjustment for you. He specializes in Skymaster's and has set up injection systems. Info at : www.griswoldaviation.com
FYI, the document (pdf) above is referred to as SID but not to be confused with the SID's that Cessna has written for the Skymaster Service Manual. The Service Information Directive above is not associated with the Supplemental Inspection Documents that have been discussed as of recent on this board.

Fuel Idle
I have a challenge with my rear engine. I cannot get the rear engine to idle at less then 1200 rpm. Even with the idle set screw backed out all the way the engine still idles high.
It started after the unit was retuned to me after a leak was discovered and we sent the throttle assembly out for overhaul. Anyone had this happen? If so, what was the fix? Thanks, Gord C-FTES

Gord are you sure the quadrant lever is allowing it to bottom out? May need to adjust the linkage to allow the mechanism to return full

Yes, that's a good idea but I checked that early on. I still have some push back when it bottoms out. I just can't seem to get the throttle assembly to close off enough and was wondering if there was some flow adjustment thing that I was missing.
Otherwise the plane flies great and fuel flows are pretty even. Appreciate the though. Gord
