Thirty year old tsio-360s?
Considering a turbo with 2500ishTT, but 400ish on the rebuilds, done back in the 80s and with no VARs. Has been flown a little in recent years, but not much. Even assuming good compression and other indicators, I feel like there is a substantial level of entropy and financial risk here. How much confidence would you have? What value would you put on such engines, or how would you factor the above into your purchase decision?

![]() What happened to the 182 purchase because of insurance? Did you find some cheaper coverage?

I did.
Aviation Insurance Resources in Maryland. 4800 down from an original 7k. Will likely self - insure the hull after the first year though. And turbo could put me back up in the 7k territory. Will find out. Last edited by YankeeClipper : 09-16-19 at 04:47 PM. |
