True Dreams of Wichita
After 8 months of trying to round a small village of stars into their proverbial alignment, I finally got 337-1037 back to Connecticut on from Manassas, VA. It also took a village of very helpful individuals--two determined CFIs, two apprehensive IAs, one very patient FAA inspector (ferry permit x 3), and one incredibly supportive wife.
It was a monumental feat of risk management, project management, and luck, punctuated throughout by you-cant-do-that's. And maybe I shouldn't have; it hadn't flown in 8 years, nor had an annual in that time. But fly she did, for 2+ hours--slowly, but without a hitch. |
