FUEL ALERT -- Nashville Meeting
Just learned that CFM at MQY will not extend the 25 cent fuel discount on self-serve. So their regular 100LL price with discount is now $2.69. I have asked Don to consider a greater discount for our group and application to the self-serve, in light of the drastically lower price for the same fuel (Air BP) at neighboring airports (see below). He is considering it and we agreed to talk tomorrow, when he gets his new price for next week, which may be lower; I'll post here after I talk to him.
We'd like people to throw their business to CFM (which is hosting our meeting), but those of you who find the cost prohibitive should know that 0A3 (35 miles East) has Air BP 100LL for $2.05 and SYI (27 miles South) has it for $2.19. Ernie Martin |

Fuel Cost
This morning I spoke to Don, the manager of CFM regarding fuel prices. He explained to me that the way the self serve is setup he can not alter the price. However, he ensured me that the price for 100 LL will most likely be less than the current rate for full service.
Also, please remember that CFM is not charging us for the use of the hanger on Saturday morning, the use of there conference room for the spouse meeting at the FBO nor is there a charge for drop off at the hotel when you arrive, which is about ten miles away. Folks, in light of some of these additional facts, buying fuel there is really not a bad idea. That's my two cents!!! Jerry N34EC |

I agree
For the price differential, and support of the organization that's helping us, it makes sense.
