Robertson STOL Performance
We are considering purchasing another 337. The particular application that we need it for requires very slow loiter speeds. Could anybody with a Robertson equipped machine give me an opinion on what would be the slowest comfortable loiter speed with a light load (2 crew and 2 hours of fuel)?

Robertson STOL Performance
I can fly as slow as 50 - 60 knots with the STOL, but would suggest that the safer speed for loiter is around 75 to 85 especially if you are doing any banking above 15 or 20 degrees. I have a performance chart I can scan and email if you are still looking for info. The fuel burn to hold it steady in that configuration is a little higher than cruise since you are headed in and out of the back side of the power curve.

If you do a search on the site for RSTOL or STOL there is a lot of opinions and good info already there to read
