efis approvals

I have looked at previous threads and seen that last written, no efis (dynon, GRT, bluemountain) were going to be approved in certified aircraft. Does anyone know if this has changed or is the Aspen, nice but more expensive, our only option?

tropical is an unknown quantity at this point
Looks like your only option. The other companies probably don't want to pour the money required to certify a unit, hence a higher asking price to recover the certification cost.

You just gotta love the FAA and the bureaucracy.

Bendix / King

Here is an option that is much nicer than the Aspen. Installation costs are such a large part of these upgrades and installing these glass units are going to be similar so why not go for the big screen.
