Thanks for the list, you need to attend one of these SOAPA meetings. You have some great ideas. Actually one or two of the items above were discussed in Branson. Should have been there.

Good suggestions Jeff. I think that going to Cessna has merit (roots). You need to come to the next meeting and put this on the list. 2012 is the SOAPA 10 year anniversary.

Here is the list (if anyone cares)

2002 - Bahamas Treasure Cay
2003 - Nashville
2004 - Oklahoma City
2005 - Key West
2006 - Las Vegas
2007 - Bahamas Port Lucya
2008 - Kalamazoo
2009 - Branson

So the biggie 2012 10 year anniversary needs to be the SOAPA of all SOAPA's. The question is ........................ WHERE?

This just came in.

Sir, I wanted to contact you and inquire about Dayton, Ohio-the birthplace of aviation-as the site for a future convention. Are there steps to follow in order to submit a proposal?

actually 2012 works better for me, gotta help the Boy Scouts out at the Jamboree in 2010, so next summer is spoken for. Now 2011 is open.....as is 2012. Of course, if anyone wants to come to the west coast.......lots of neat stuff to see here as well. Check it out, lots of Skymaster owners in Oregon!!

Herb,

Thanks for posting the comments and pix - Branson was really a great time, and it was fabulous to catch up with you and other old friends, and to make new friends as well!

We had a good flight to Memphis, a fantastic time taking in the Memphis Museum of Natural History and on Beale St. later (as usual) with Mary and Dennis Murphy, and after dodging some convectivity, a smooth flight back to Daytona Beach.

Paul

It is my full intention to attend. My Skymaster is still under maintenance and has been for a while. But we'll see how she's flying in the next couple of months. I'm looking forward to the next one...where ever it is.

If my vote counts for anything, from this list I'd choose Vegas baby!

I doubt we go back to Las Vegas for a while. It was the most poorly attended meeting of all meetings. 3 aircraft and 9 pilots. I really thought Vegas would have been a good spot but it did not work out that way.

Commodore Aerospace

At the meeting in Branson Don Nieser was a planned speaker. Don is the owner of Commodore Aerospace in Oklahoma City. Because of weather Don was not able to fly over to the meeting to present the information on his company and services. Attached below is the presentation that Don had for the meeting. Don sent me this and I see it appropriate to share with the membership.

Don has a great inventory of parts for our aircraft. I purchased several items from him during my recent refurbishment project. Don is a huge asset to our world and he is available to help with just a phone call. His contact information is posted on this website and on the last slide of the attached presentation.
