Mixture control....FYI
Hey guys'
Just came back from a flight, It sure was a beautiful day here in NewEngland. Was cruising along at 8500 feet and everything was going great. When I started my decent and tried to inch the mixtures forward, the front would not budge from the leaned position. Rather than break something I just reduced the throttle to keep the front engines egt's somewhat normal. Once back in the hangar the investigation revealed that the stop pin on the fuel pump where the mixture control arm contacts it (one end full rich the other end idle cut off) had backed out of its hole and prevented the mixture from moving forward. Not sure how to repair this, maybe have the pin knerled? Any ideas? maybe a new pin.. Guy.... old72driver....
