Planning on reassembling my C337B
My team and I are planning to reassemble my Cessna Skymaster AP-AVM for the first time in 17 years in coming week. Hopefully hardware from Don will arrive intime on Wednesday to do this. Any advices anyone on here can share who have literally reassembled all taken apart aircraft and reassembled back together again. Time wise we are estimating will take 3-4 hours to reassemble it for static display only.

The Kitchener-Waterloo Record published an article about the project Dec. 28, 2016:

Finally after almost a month's wait hardware from CommodorAir has arrived. I'm trying to get man-power together to reassemble AVM. Coming week looks good weather wise as temps will rise up to "0" degree Celsius or into +2C to +3C degrees.

All set to go for Sunday 29th January. We will be at CYKF early in the morning to start the assembly. Would be good to see if other Canadian Skymaster owners would fly-in. Would be great to meet them and do photoshoots with all Skymasters.

Event had been postponed due to non-availability of certain key guests who couldn't attend it on Sunday 29th. I'll post newer date as it will be decided hopefully soon.

We are moving into a newer n bigger hangar on coming Saturday 29th April. Plan is to move aircraft in sections on groundside and after its moved with other contents of the hangar, we will reassemble it. Would be great if fellow Skymaster owners could come out to help with the move or to reassemble it through the following week.

Yesterday we did our move, took us 4 hours to do while making several trips between the hangars and got it all done. Thanks to Copa flight 26 and RAA guys for the help. Highly appreciated it.
Click on www.iharo.org for latest pictures from the move. In coming week, we'll be reassembling the aircraft and would like to get some assistance from local or regional Skymaster pilots or owner if they can come to CYKF to help us. |

I will be reassembling AVM just for display to see how it goes together. From the SRM procedure starts by mounting both wings to the fuselage with wing struts first and then working our way back to the vertical fins.
Is there any thing in particular that I should know, a special method maybe to reattach certain section in certain way. One of my tailboom is attached to the Finn and those mounting screws are rusted, is there a specific way to install this subsection first and then maybe horizontal stabilizer and other vertical fin?? |

Yesterday we made history!
Our bird got her wings back after 17.5 years being in Canada. This is the first time this has happened to her. We are making progress with the project and soon will be getting both front and back engines for her. Special thanks goes to Michelle and Patrick who drove all the way from Kincardine, ON to help us. Latest pictures are posted on www.iharo.org |

Yesterday afternoon we had our 2nd interview by City TV Toronto at our new hangar. It was great have City TV come out for it to give more boost and exposure to the AVM project.
