Front and rear engines and props
Getting ready to install new engines, props and instruments.
Would like to sell old parts as a package. I haven’t removed the old ones yet but if there is any interest in these let me know. Western skyways charge $14000 for cores Used props and Spinners and backing plates are getting hard to find Would take $30000 for it all Engines x 2 Props x 2 Engine instruments cluster |

Wait - you bought new engines from someone who didn't give you core credit? Where did you get them?

Bought new overhaul engines outright from a private person that had them overhauled and didn’t us them.
Here’s the story all my old engines props and gages run very well and decided to keep running them until something showed a problem that would make me decide to change them, a few weeks ago I walked past my front prop and one of the blades had a greater angle than the other, called the prop shop and they said there is a wooden block that controls the pitch of the blades and they fail from time to time, $ 1000 fixes the block and gets you a reseal job, however there is a little corrosion showing on the outside surface of the hub and has suggested that I should look for a new hub sometime in the future, but no big deal he would reassemble it and it would be fine for me to finish out my engines with it, I told him to see what a new hub would cost and maybe we would just fix it right, then he all the sudden they decided maybe he wouldn’t put it back together( seen a bigger sale) so now it doesn’t make any sense to put new props on old engines, so I’m putting on new MT props, engines and didn’t want to run new engines without all cylinder monitors so mvp 50s it is, all old parts for sale props engines gages |

Are any of the engines still available?

They both are, haven’t been trying to sell them thinking of keeping them, but if they can be of use for someone then I would rather see them running instead of sitting.

I have a 1965 skymaster. I am not ready for engines yet however I want to have an engine ready to go when it’s time to avoid downtime. I have not talked to my mechanic yet but assume your motor will work on my plane. I would just need to overhaul it then it would be ready to go. Any thoughts or words of wisdom? Also it looks like you did mt props. What can you tell me about them. Do you like them? Can you do one and not the other? What is expense? Just curious as I want to have a prop ready to go as well
Thanks Greg |

Ok thanks. So your motors have 2k hrs and they have been overhauled once? Let me know if you get your new motors on and are selling those

I have a 1965 skymaster. The rear motor has 1400 hrs. To avoid downtime I am looking for a motor to redo and have sitting on the shelf ready to go when it’s time. Possibly same idea for prop. What are you asking and what can you tell me about the motors? You can email directly at wilsongregoryscott@gmail.com. Thanks Greg

I’m looking for engine probes if either engine had them.
