Air Stair door STC

One of the things I came across as I was researching Skymasters was a mention of an "air stair door" STC. Just wondering if anyone ever installed it and if so, if they know who owns the STC now... Tried to search for it on the FAA DRS site this evening, but it was down.

Are you referring to replacing the factory swing door to an air stair door? I have never seen this done and would have to be a field approval if the frame would even accommodate without structural engineering. That would never happen in my opinion. Curious why you would want to change the door? Just buy a 337 with the air stair door.

This is just curiosity more than anything. I like my door as is. It's easy to get in and out of with the step.

I've been looking over STCs that are out there, and had no idea what an air stair mod is. I cam across it when I was looking up STC for rear engine cooling and rear engine access, which seem like worth adding.
