Running out of fuel is not considered an accident! Just plain stupidity....
Force landing with a rough engine... in a twin ? Prelim's are just that. Did you notice a 172 landed "wheels up". That has to be priceless. Wish I was there to see that. Eustacio... you really must be bored when you start browsing thru the latest pilot errors <G>. Bob |

That 172 is a 172RG, serial 172RG003, sso it is possible to belly one in, especially in a flight school environment.

I'm not immune from stupidity, so I study the reports. But for the grace of God, and a centerline twin, go I.

bad day - good attitude
bawb,
The attitude you present in this post is one's best defense against joining those with unfortunate events. Keep it up!

bad day
I have studied accident reports for longer than I would want to admit......
History does repeat itself. Accidents repeat themselves as well. Problem is that people do no learn by others mistakes..... seems they must learn from their own mistakes. I stand corrected on the 172. I should have known since I have quite a few hours in an RG. Bob |

If you look in the same page under June 16 there were 8 accidents/incidents on Cessna aircraft, there is another C337 involved.
Bob, at this rate we are going to run out of 337 |

Is there a way to access preliminary reports more than 10 days back?

Thanks Kevin for the web address.
I notice you are from the SF Bay area. I used to live in SF and Sausalito. Ever get down to the Monterey Peninsula? If you ever plan to fly in to MRY, drop me a line and maybe we can hook up for dinner or a beer. I'd love to see your bird. Hugh |
