going in debt
hi all, while at sun-n-fun i grew a wild hair and went out on a limb. i picked up a garmin 530. it should be here some time this wk. looking forward to getting it installed and learning how to use it. the color map is going to be great.

JUST GOT IT TOO I REALLY HAVE ENJOYED IT SO FAR I HAVE ONLY FLOWN 1 REAL DECENT TRIP WITH IT BUT I HAVE BEEN OUT ON QUITE A FEW SHORT ONES I ALSO INSTALLED THE 330 TRANSPONDER IT HAS TRAFFIC INFORMATION SYSTEM THAT IS REALLY NICE Last edited by hharney : 04-29-04 at 10:34 PM. |

MY 530 WAS RIGHT AT $15k INSTALLED
THE 530 WAS $10,500.00 AND THE 330 WAS $3650.00 PLUS THE 106A INDICATOR, ANTENNA, AVIONICS MASTER SWITCH, DIRECT POWER FOR MY 196 PORTABLE, ANTENA CONNECTION FOR MY HANDHELD COM, RELOCATE THE ADF, DISCONNECT FOR THE AUTOPILOT, WORK ON THE MARKER LIGHTS, ETC. ETC. AND YOU KNOW .......................... $22k LATER. OUCH, BUT IT SURE IS FUN! |

I just had a 530 and 330 installed by MidAmerica Avionics in Ft. Wayne. The total price was $15,500 installed, plus my old KX155 radio, my old KLN90A GPS, and my old transponder in trade. I was very satisfied with their work. Mark

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 MONTHS TO GET MY CERTIFICATION. I WAS TOLD THAT THE SYSTEM IS CLOGGED WITH REQUESTS AND THEY CANNOT PROCESS THEM ALL. THANKS |
