Unhappy Maintenance Costs

HI GUYS, I'm BACK, BEEN EVERYWHERE, NEW BUSINESS etc AND HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO LOG ON

HAVING MADE FEEBLE EXCUSES I HAVE A PROBLEM, DEC LAST YEAR SOLD MY BABY, C337G, PART OF THE DEAL WAS TO DO ANNUAL INSPECTION AND CHANGE FRONT ENGINE WHICH I DID.

GOT THE USUAL QUOTES AND INDICATIONS OF PRICING AND WENT AHEAD WITH THE WORK, GOT THE BILL AND WAS STUNNED, OVER TWICE WHAT WAS EXPECTED, SO AFTER NO EXPLANATION FROM THE LAME (AME) DECIDED TO MAKE A REASONABLE OFFER OF 1.3 TIMES THE QUOTED PRICES, GOT LAUGHED AT, YELLED AT AND THREATENED SO HAVE DECIDED TO LET IT GO TO COURT.

MY QUESTION IS; IF I WERE TO POST THE WORK DONE COULD PEOPLE HELP ME WITH THE EXPECTED TIME REQUIRED FOR A REASONABLY EQUIPPED WORKSHOP TO COMPLETE THE TASKS

IN ANTICIPATION..........Wayne

help

Hello Wayne.

I am sure some post readers will help but I have a couple of questions.

The first quote you received, was it in writing and did it specify what is being done?

Is you aircraft turbo charged or normal?

Jerry

ODOR!

I think I would have sold the airplane "AS IS - WHERE IS" and let the new owner figure out what he wants to do on his time and nickel. These kinds of 'DEALS' always end up with a nasty ODOR!

Cessna Manual

Wayne,

You might look into the Cessna "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION LABOR ALLOWANCES" manual, P/N D5433-13-RAND-1600-8/76 which has an entire section devoted to "CENTER LINE THRUST" covering just about everything from airframe items to avionics, and including engines, etc.

BTW, I have a copy... if you have a list of things that were done, post them and I'll see what input I can provide.
