rear engine oil breather

Ive just noticed oil from the rear breather which is going onto the prop.
this has just happen quickly.
I keep the oil level at 6 quarts so dont think its overfilled.
any ideas on where to start ?
1977 337 G normally aspirated. around 800 hours on engine.
engine runs perfectly normally with no other "leaks"

A little oil, or a lot? Did you notice a much greater oil consumption versus normal?

Are you certain it’s not the prop grease or oil leaking?

Do you have an air/oil separator installed?

Last compression check ok? Power-stroke combustion gasses might slip past sticky rings and slightly, temporarily, pressurize crankcase and push oil/foam out the breather.

If you think it might be stuck or sludged rings, download the piston-ring flush technique free from the savvy aviation website.

Yep, thats pretty normal...Mine stays pretty level at about 7-7.5 qts
