Transient Voltage Suppressor

I was planning to replace my starter and battery solenoids (it's time) and looking up the part numbers, and noticed part number C591501-0101 - Transient Voltage Suppressor - it is -57 on Figure 138 (Electrical Equipment). Does anyone know where this is (eg. is it even forward or aft of the firewall - difficult to tell from the diagram) or had trouble with it or had to replace it ?

In my travels last week trying to chase down my latest over-voltage situation, I discovered this box behind the interior panel in front of the circuit breaker box on my 1973 G model. I do not know if this has anything to do with my latest problem however it does have my curiosity peeked.

Did you ever replace yours and/or did you have some sort of problem with yours? I'd be curious to know what you learned.

Thanks,

Ed
