Orange Skymaster Over Michigan

Hello!

This may sound a bit strange but here goes:

Last year (2005) an orange Skymaster began flying over our house. Whenever we happened to hear the plane, we would go out in the backyard and wave. The flyovers lasted for a month or two and were largely forgotten until yesterday. Yesterday (June 22, 2006) at approximately 7:00 P.M. we heard a plane circling. Upon looking outside we saw that it was the orange Skymaster! We went out in the backyard and waved. Unbelievably, the Skymaster dipped its wings back and forth to return the wave! The plane then circled once more before flying off in a northern direction.

The incident is not the least bit unsettling and we enjoy watching the plane and waving but we do have some questions about the Orange Skymaster:

Who are you?

Why are you flying over our house?

What airport do you fly out of?

Can you post some pictures of your plane?

Sincerely,

Orange Skymaster Fans

Warren, MI (Red house)

WebMaster is on a distinguished road
It wasn't me

I suspect, not entirely certain where warren is, that the airplane you see is going to, or arriving to a nearby airport. If they are circling, we all do that, it's part of a ground reference manuever.

There was a skymaster based at Pontiac, Red, I think, that had a camera ball attached for aerial photography (of the ground), but I don't know that it still flies.

For more information about where some Skymasters gather, read the MI Fly In 06 message topic. We West Michigan Skymaster owners (and Frank from Pontiac) get together frequently.
