Talking trading up

There appears to be some interest in trading up these days. Here are the latest offerings from boing. you might be able to negotiate somewhat of a better deal, especially qty purchases.

Airplane Model 2002 $ in Millions

717-200 35.5 - 39.5
737-600 41.0 - 49.0
737-700 47.0 - 55.0
737-800 57.5 - 64.5
737-900 60.5 - 68.5
747-400 185.0 - 211.0
747-400 Freighter 187.5 - 214.5
747-400 Combi 196.0 - 215.0
757-200 73.5 - 80.5
757-200 Freighter 72.5 - 75.0
757-300 82.0 - 89.5
767-200ER 101.0 - 112.0
767-300ER 115.5 - 127.5
767-300 Freighter 122.5 - 134.0
767-400ER 126.5 - 138.5
777-200 153.5 - 171.0
777-200ER 162.0 - 182.0
777-200LR 188.0 - 213.5
777-300 178.5 - 203.5
777-300ER 203.5 - 231.5

Above is a range of 2002 prices of current production airplanes. The difference between the high and low prices is a function of the configuration and special features options included in the airplane. Many options are available regarding performance capability, interiors, avionics, fuel, etc., which significantly affect airplane prices.

All prices are in U.S. dollars and are in millions.

For this update, the 747-400ER is included in the 747-400 price range. The 747-400ER Freighter is included in the 747-400 Freighter price range.

It appears that Cessna has a price advantage. None of these are available before Christmas unless you want to pay a premium.

fyi

Darn, I can only afford three of each... Guess I might as well keep the SkyMaster!

Delivery

Isn't that just the truth. here, you find something you really want, and could use, and there's a huge waiting list. Oh, well, it's a good thing I didn't spend any money on that paper airplane, the ECLIPSE. At least, with the Boeing, you know they have engines for their planes.
I wonder, can a 747 make it in and out of a 3000 foot grass strip?? Probably not. Darn.

Mustangs

See . . . Bob, The Stacks, and Larry, . . . just goes to show how reasonably priced the new Cessna Mustangs really are! And they might even have approved engines some day also.

The good news is that at least I now know I can afford 1.5 newly done Riley Rocket Skymasters instead of one refurbed 747. And I bet you could get the Skymasters delivered before Christmas.

Cool Triple 7.....

Hey someone do the math! How many trips to Europe and back will a triple 7 have to do before it turns a profit... Crank in some expenses, crew costs, maintenances, fuel, landing fees, insurances, etc, etc, etc........ Guy, old72driver....
