Yeeeaas

Jackson, Mi, for breakfast, on Saturday, January 25.
The only question is what time. 9 AM, or 10 AM??

The airport identifier is JXN. It has 4 VOR approaches, an NDB approach, and an ILS approach. It has a 5300 ft runway, and a 3500 ft runway. It also has a control tower.

The restaurant is in the terminal (?) building, you taxi up, and walk in. Very cool place to go to. Lots of locals go there, food is plentiful and reasonable in price.

Weather forecast is for partly cloudy, and a high of -6C. Not bad.

What say you folks, JXN on Saturday January 25??

I am going to try and get there.

I have not had a lot of time lately to air out the plane, so I am really going to try and get up there.
It looks to be about 3 hours with substantial head winds, so we plan on leaving saturday morning early enough to have lunch and get back to GAI.

Angry Finally got started

We finally got started, I should begin at the start, hangar door frozen shut, tow unit had flat tire, battery in plane dead, got a back engine started, then couldn't get front, finally got front started after 15 minutes.
I got underway and ran into 40kt headwinds.
About 1pm landed in OSU in Ohio for lunch, went to Grimes for fuel @ 2.20 a gallon vs 3.06 at OSU. We then flew down to Batavia and Sproty's.
We make it back to GAI in 1:40 around 5pm.
All in all had a great day, sorry we didn't make it to see you guys.
Rick

JXN

YAP! Tis the season for dead batteries. I had dead battery also. Got started and got to JXN with a friend about 2:00 PM. Talk to Larry prior to flight and knew he was not going. I was only plane there. May go over there this morning.
Cheers
Jerry
