Rear Engine Fire Detection

A question from a relative newbie Skymaster driver (3 years): Maybe I sometimes just have too much time to sit and think driving along on our marine survey grids. But it occurred to me the other day that if something started to burn back in the rear nacelle, you really wouldn't know it until it was well along and became perceptible in the cabin - unlike a 'normal' twin where you'd likely see something quickly.

Has the issue of some kind of detection system ever come up? Just curious.

Ahab
