WebMaster is on a distinguished road
door size

I have rearranged the interior of my 69 337D, to make the trip home to AZO from TEB comfortable for my wife who has had hip replacement surgery. The surgeon and physical therapist have all expressed some concern about getting her in the plane, so I bought a step, that is a wider platform. I have almost every dimension, 8 inches from the seat front to the door, etc, but did not get the door opening size.

Since our trip home has been delayed by another week, could someone with a pre -73, measure their door size opening, so I have that information when we go visit the doctor on Friday.

Oh, why don't I do it? The plane is up in BDR, a 1.5 hr train ride, then a taxi ride to the airport, each way, from the apartment we have rented here in NYC. I have it in BDR, because tie down is free, as opposed to TEB, where tie down is $25/day. It's the better part of 3.5 hours there and back. I don't like the idea of leaving my wife alone for that much time, to get the door opening size. It may be unimportant, but it is the one piece of information I don't have, and I'm trying to be prepared.

Thanks
