Av-30 v g5

I visited Garmin booth to look at the GI275 they are pushing so hard. I asked them to compare with the dual G5s I currently use. They did not provide a compelling case.
After the show, I found out the GI275 can emulate the vacuum driven AI output required by my Navomatic 400. That's kinda compelling.
Do you know if the AV-30 has that feature? Any other advantages to it versus the G5 ( or GI275)?
I had to run an external magnetoneter to wingtip for g5 to have heading sync, it was a gmu11. Would be nice if I didn't need to run another one if I upgrade the heads in the panel. I also had to put in gad29b to interface with the older stule autopilot.

Now THIS is interesting news! I've vented my frustration regarding this issue many times in the past - its good to see something finally get done!!!

I do wonder if the P-models are approved. EDIT: YES, THEY ARE!
