Where do We go from Here

Well, the obvious question is where do we go from here.
Fortunately, this is not a rhetorical question.
Bring the Harley, we're going to Daytona. Actually KEVB, New Smyrna Beach airport, on April 12.

Then, on April 13, we do a mass arrival at KLAL, in time for Sun 'n Fun. We'll have a meeting a get togther in New Smyrna, then go en-masse to S-N-F, and hang out. While there, we can meet with all the CESSNA folks, who'll be exhibiting their latest stuff. We can march around carrying banners. We can have a sit in on a Caravan. We can see how many people we can stuff into a Skycatcher. We can ogle the latest must have stuff, and generally have a good time.

The organizers tell us we'll all park together. We can be organized, at a very public organized event.

It should be fun, so mark your calendars.
I'll have more information over the weekend, as well as a new front page for the web site.

Here is a start, see the link below to the SNF website, lot's of information. Start planning now for your arrival.

I'm planning to stay at the airplane and camp. It is a great experience.

How many of you would be interested in meeting before Sun'N Fun and participate in a Skymaster mass arrival at the event? Most likely we would be able to all park together once we arrive at LAL. Maybe we should have a poll?

Talking mass fly in

I think it would be a waste of time the main funway is a ways from the spectators. It might be better to fly on one of the morning and all go around and around for about 30 min in the pattern that is what they have been letting folks do after arrivals and before all of the other flying starts. I'm sure they would let us fly in trail and then land in our designated parking spot. Dave

Dave,
I have never been to Sun N' Fun so I am not sure I understand your suggestion. Are you suggesting that after we have all arrived at different times and/or days that we all take off and fly around the event for 30 minutes and then land and go back to each parking spot?

Once a person sets up camp it's really hard to move the plane and then come back? This is what I have experienced at OSH. Not that it can't be done but if we do not have a mass arrival we probably won't be able to park together unless they allow reserved spaces but then you would need to pay for the whole week.

I'm not dead set on the mass arrival, it was just an idea so that we could all park together and have a big Skymaster party.
