Electroluminescent panel lights

Does anyone know how the Electroluminescent lights work? My power supply puts out the variable AC volts up to about 115 volts with the panels disconnected or with only the flap panel connected(it works). The problem is the switch panel light on the pilot side. Before powering up the pilot side light (and disconnected from the power supply) it has a resistance of approx. 100-140k ohms. When connected by itself the power supply will only put out about 10-15 volts at max. Immediately after disconnecting the switch panel and checking the resistance again I get about 50 ohms. Is there a way to fix the panel or remove its connection at the panel or???????
Thanks.
George

The panels are not repairable and will require replacement, these panels were expensive 20 years ago i do'nt know how much they will cost now!
You can just disconnect the panel and the others should work ok.

My 337 has the Aeroenhancement panel made out of burl wood with the UltraVision lighting. It's beautiful. You can see my panel at http://www.337skymaster.org/messages...&threadid=1024 and the maker is at www.aeroenhancements.com

Thanks Ernie. Your panel looks beautiful. Looks like you still have the electroluminescent switch panel below the wood. That is the one I am having trouble with.
