Landing gear will not retract

Went flying this afternoon, retracted gear and the doors would open but the gear would not retract.
Put gear handle down and the doors would retract.
Tried it several more times with the same result.
We change out the gear pump last annual with a new one.
Any ideas would be welcomed.
I have searched the site to see if anyone else has had this problem and could not find.
Need assistance asap.
Thanks
Rick

Could be many things. Do a "Search" (top of page) with "gear", "retract", etc. for some ideas. But very, very often it's a weak battery. A cheap first try is to check that the battery is good, then charge the battery overnight, then try it. Surprisingly, even with two good alternators and even if the battery starts both engines OK, if the battery is weak, then the doors will open but gear won't retract. Has happened to me several times. And, based on this message board, it has happened to others.

Sounds like the squat switch is faulty.
The doors will open if the squat switch is not in the airbourne position but the gear will not retract.

Nose gear squat switch

After two separate tries of it not retracting, our mechanic finally figured out it was the nose gear squat switch.
The fix was a 1/64 adjustment followed by safety wiring and we had our fix.
We are leaving for Marathon, FL the day after xmas and will be there for 7 days.
