P337 Seating

I would dearly love to change the rear seating in my 73 P337. That is to put the center 2 seats in the back, then have the single rear seat in the middle on the pilots side. That would make access so much easier.

I don't suppose there is any stc for this but has anyone done so on a field approval?

Thanks

Dave Dillehay

PS I did order a cargo pod from RT Aerospace.

Have you looked at the width and headroom at the back of the airplane? I think you will find that both are insufficient for 2 regular seats. The 5th and 6th seats I have are considerably narrower and considerably lower than the regular seats. If the two seats are in, it's only for 2 small kids, and for short trips because the seat heigth is so low that legs almost stick straight out.

The H model has the one piece rear seat that is attached to the side of the cabin and would move forward and aft along the rear cabin. Not sure if this was an option or standard but this design looked like a better system. Although not ever having experienced one I am speaking from observation only. Even with that later system I don't think it allowed a center single seat with the main passenger seat in the rear position. Anyone have this system?
