Center Console

Does anyone have an after market center console between the pilot and co-pilot seats. There are some from S-Air Corp (Flight Boss) that say they will fill most 337. They require 4 inches between the seat, but mine doesn't seem to have that space between. Do newer 337s have extra space between the front 2 seats?

Many Skymasters have the front two seats switched. We switched ours so that we could get to the reclining lever (They were both on the inside and hard to get to as the seats were right next to each other) and were surprised to have that magic four inches suddenly appear between the front two seats. Little did we know the seats were not designed centered on the rails. We are pretty sure they are in the correct position now as the yokes are centered to the seats along with a number of other differences we have grown to notice. Being able to store charts and what not there has been a big plus.

I'll try that. Only disadvantage I see is the co-pilot seat can recline all the way back and rest on a latch on the rear seat. Effectively making a bed if I needed it. The pilot seat doesn't recline all the way back. I guess I'm more likely to use a center console than the bed option.

The correct position of the seats is to have the recline on the outside respectively for each seat. The armrest slot goes to the center.

I received the center console and tried it in my aircraft. Thank you. I've included some pictures. It fits perfectly between the back seats, but there is no way it will fit between the front seats (even if I remove the seat covers).

There are two levers on each side of my seat. The ones inside are the levers that allow the seat to tilt all the way back. The outside ones are the gear tooth ones that allow you to adjust the seat inclination. Are the gear tooth ones suppose to be on the inside? Are your seat rail holes suppose to be on the right side of left side? (mine are on the left side in the picture).

I'm suspecting my seats and rails are reversed.

Sorry, Forgot to include the pictures. It shows 1. The front seats, 2. The back seat with the center console, 3. The rails with locking holes.

The gear tooth recline adjustments are to the outside of each seat. I have like 6 inches between my front seats.

See photos attached. This may help you. My bird is a "C" 1968 model. Maybe your model is different.

I took my seats out the other day and put them back in the other way around because of this post. Now I have space between the seats!! Thanks for the tip!

My front seats are configured to correct way. I'll try reversing them to see if that will help.
