Smile Universal Jacking Pads

Amigos,

Does anybody know what the part numbers are for the universal jacking pads which can be temporarily attached to the main gear spring struts if one only desires to jack up one main gear (so as to be able to service one wheel at a time)?

Thanks!

The Cessna part number is 10004-98, but there are aftermarket units out there. Please check with Trade-A-Plane, or places that specialize in the specific tools, as Cessna probably doesn't carry that any longer

you can use two 2x4's with two c-clamps and a hyd. floor jack. i have done this several time to replace a bad tire in remote areas. works ok, just place the wood on each side of the flat strut lock down the c-clamps and raise up the floor jack on the bottom 2x4, chock the other wheels as it tends to roll a little,

Smile

Thanks much for the info, guys!

Apparently Bogert Aviation (WA State (800)627-8088) has their "Flat To The Point Jack Pad" P/N 80JSPP which fits C337s for $79 - I ordered one today. I hope it fits!

Rumor has it that Spruce also carries universal jack pads.

Thumbs up

Amigos,

The $79 Bogert Aviation (WA State (800)627-8088) "Flat To The Point Jack Pad" P/N 80JSPP has arrived - it's bright yellow and adjustable, and looks like it will work fine! It comes with a jack tip which you put over the top of the jack, which mates with the pad itself via a ball-in-socket arrangement.

Looks good - I'll advise if we have any problems with it.
