Skymaster Parts -- Keeping Your Skymaster

Sorry to sound like a broken record, but how fortunate we are for the Skymaster specialists out there. I again needed a part, a new one was outrageously expensive -- to the point where I started considering getting rid of the airplane -- and a single call to Don Nieser at Commodore Aerospace got me the part at 1/10 the cost. In these very difficult economic times, getting parts at the lowest possible cost can sometimes be the difference between keeping and selling our Skymaster.

And the thing about Don isn't just that he has the lowest price and the largest inventory*, it's that if he doesn't have it he knows where to get it and he'll tell you. I call him first. And for mods and carbon-fiber PMA parts better than the originals I call Owen Bell at Aviation Enterprises.

Sorry if this sounds like a sales pitch. It isn't -- I just want you all to be able to keep your Skymasters.

Ernie

WebMaster is on a distinguished road
You are 100% right about Don, Ernie.

I remember needing something, and he didn't have it, and told me where I could get it.

Don is also widely recognized by our brethren, the 0-2 folks. For those of you who are unaware of this, Don won a Silver Wrench award at Oshkosh, for his restoration of an 0-2.

Those of you who were at the fly-in in Oklahoma, hosted at PWA by Don, may remember a visit from F&M Filters. They have been making filter adapters for about 15 years. When they wanted to make one for the Skymaster, they worked closely with Don, to insure that it would fit the Skymaster. He also owns the Prop-Shop in Oklahoma City.
