Naked Skymaster

A fellow at our airport has a Navion. He stipped all of the paint and polished the aluminum. The plane looks beautiful and has a real WWII vintage military look to it.

I was wondering if anyone has seen a Skymaster done this way, and how it turned out?

Is this even practical with the skymaster?

If you do it, is it a maintenance nightmare to maintain or is it otherwise bad for the airplane?

WebMaster is on a distinguished road
I remember reading that if you polish the spinner on the skymaster, it weakens the spinner. I think that given all the angles and stuff, it would be a nightmare.

polishing

My first 67b was stripped and polished. It was like rubbing a hard on. the more it was polished the bigger it became. J
