How to avoid "losing it"

Feel sorry for Gmas (see Blue Shower thread). It has happened to all of us.

One suggestion to avoid this type of pain. If you are going to write a long response, write it in Word or some other text editor. Save it regularly as you go along (most of these programs can be set to save frequently). Then, when you are ready to send the message, bring up the website, click on the reply button for the thread, and then copy the text from Word to the web page. You can do this by highlighting all of it in Word (for example), pressing Control-C (or use the Edit-Copy menu item). Then go to the web page, put the cursor inside the reply box where you normally type, and press Control-V (or use the Edit-Paste menu item). There are obviously lots of other programs, key combinations etc that will accomplish the same thing, use what you are familiar with.

I know this doesn't help this time Gmas, but perhaps it would be of interest to you and others for next time.

Kevin

Unhappy Yep ... Yep... am going to do that... from now on...

Good advise... will start doing that from now on... as it does take time to look up the model and write a reply.. and this electronic stuff... is magic... all the electrons and transistors are working.. its great.. but, with a push of the wrong button.. it all goes back to space and you get a blank... at the speed of light... smile...

Of course I am glad that computer doesn't have ears... else it would melt down.. smile... G.M> GMAs
