That was 1000 fgt msl @85 Kts 3/4 fuel, bombs and rockets opn the wings. Full military radios. The O2-A is a bear on one engine!!

Just wondered if you'd checked the single engine service ceiling with the chart, and how it compared to your actual experience? I know that with the racks full and wieght up that the ceiling can be below sea level. The red button to jettison everything was the first thing to hit if you lost an engine at low altitude when the Air Force was flying them. Unfortunately, the FAA frowns on us dropping things under any circumstances, so it's a little more of a problem.

The published single engine ceiling was about 200 ft higher than the experimental one!!
