I just went through virtually identical process with the front prop on my 336. Only 140 SMOH, but sat a while and could not be OH'd. My IA felt AC 23-27 provided authority to change the prop and the local FSDO agreed with him. The -C61, -C302, and -C307 are are all on the C337 TCDS A6CE and all these props share the same prop TCDS P5EA. YMMV. David

Thanks for the info! You confirmed the direction I want to go with this in regards to how the props are type certificated, and the similarities between the installations. Could you PM me when you are able?? Thanks Steve.
