Smile Local Skymaster sightings

There aren't any Skymasters based out of any of my local airports (MRY, SNS, OAR, WVI) but I've seen two in the last week and they both were engaged in arial photography.

The first was at Watsonville (WVI) on Thurs. The guy was in for a quick oil change. He was flying a 1970 337D. Said he was out of Jackson, MS but his company was based in Colorado. I believe he said Colorado Springs. His bird was red with white accents.

Today (Sun.) I saw from the ground, a Skymaster flying an overlapping, roughly N-S pattern over the city of Monterey for a couple of hours. From below this one was blue and white so I'm assuming it was a different a/c. The same company perhaps but a different airplane.

Just an observation on the random distribution of planes. I seldom see a Skymaster, then I see two in a week. I can't wait to get one!

more sightings

I was at 63B, limington,ME, and there was an 0-2 there, and a P model was at Batavia, getting some work done. They do show up in the oddest places.

There are now 4 skymasters at SNA! a '66 A , 2 '75 G's an a '73 (I think) P, plus 2 (or maybe 3) at Corona and at least 5 more that I know of in Southern California... It's really amazing.
