It's almost done

2+ YEARS, Blood, sweat and tears are about to pay off. 1000's of hours into rebuilding a T337B is about to come to a close. Just finishing re-wiring the entire plane. What a feeling. Ready to start engines as soon as I get back a few exhaust parts. Then ground and flight testing. Woohooo!

Stuff that takes the longest on these birds is cleaning out 40 years of crap building up in places the human hand was never ment to go.

This all started with a simple electrical proplem. Started into it and noticed that whenever a new or old system was added or subtracted. They left the old wires, spliced into a few more and so on. Since I'm a nit pick FREAK! This wouldn't do, so I gutted it. Any mark or blemish on any hardline was reason enough to replace it. So... most of the plane is new, or refurbished.. If people want I can start posting some pictures? I'm excited to show it off at the next fly in.

Thanks for having a site I can spout off. Just very excited. It's alot of work and thrilling to see it finishing up.

Richard,

Sure, go ahead ahead and post a few. I know you have sent some to me already, and they are in the queue to go on a page on the site, so be sure to send whatever else you have to me as well, so I can put them on a page on the site in the (I hope near) future.

Congrats. I bet you are looking forward to getting back in the air...

I REALLY like your panel, Richard, and the labeling on the fuel controls is Awesome.
Nice interior detail.

Richard,

Please send me whatever other pictures you would like posted, rather than put them in messages here. I will expedite making a web page for them in addition to the ones you have already sent, it uses much less valuable disk space to do it this way than it does to put it in the message database.

Wow!

Truly a beautiful piece of work. Congratulations. I especially like the panel (how did you get rid of the old gauge cluster?). Wish ours looked like that!

WOW Richard! A "nit pick FREAK" AND a man of great patience! It would drive me NUTS to work on a project like that and not be able to fly. How about some exterior pics too? Also, being a little challenged, when the pictures get posted by Kevin maybe some one could tell me where that would be. Kudos to you Richard!

Does it use a mechanical gyro or is it solid state? How hard was it to get that approved? Was it STC'ed or did you do a 337?

What did you have to do (paperwork-wise) to replace all of the old Cessna engine gages with something more modern?
