Interesting Gear Problem (337B)

I went flying this past Saturday. On my way up had an interesting gear problem. Got to the bottom of it today.

-Take off
-Gear up handle
-Gear started to transition up
-Gear handle stuck in up position no light
- wait 45 secs still no light
- put gear down, get green
- flew home w gear down

Cause:
Nose strut seal leaking, because it was leaking, there was no pressure fully extending it, so when retracting the nose gear jammed against the wall and doors wouldn’t close so no light.

Solution:
Replace nose strut seals

In this photo, you can see what happens when the nose gear is not fully extended. It
jams on right side scissor not allowing the wheel to fully seat.
