C336 Bush Plane - Mission Aviation

For those of you interested, I have been using N538JP for a missionary aviation project in Guatemala since 11-2007 (4 months now) and have been pretty happy with its performance in this role. (despite its fast landing speed). Our home airstrip is grass and 1400Žlong. That is about my minimum.

Anyone else doing this kind of work with these planes?

I maintain a blog that includes some interesting stories and lots of video related to our operation, with MedEvacs and missions support work. The URL is http://GuateMissionPilot.blogspot.com

We have a lot of good video. If nothing else, please watch this one, youŽll love it:

Thanks, Robert, for contributing. Fascinating work. I also enjoyed one of your other videos, with the distinctive sound of a Skymaster taking off, at:

Robert

Will you be back in Michigan this summer? It would be great to have you join us for the SOAPA meeting and give us a report on how you use the 336 in Central America. June 11-14.

What is the elevation of your base strip? It looks like you land up hill? Great Videos.
