337 prebuy Houston

I would like to find a reputable and experienced 337 mechanic for a prebuy in Houston area. A/C in question ('74-G) is missing first 9 years logs, has had agear up and has cracks "under floor near access panels" according to mechanic who did last annual. Also all cylinders low 60's. Please advise an inexperienced first time buyer.
