You can use a 12 volt boat winch . Down fall is that you will have to keep battery charged. It comes with a handle so you can manually winch the plane in

I took a 110 volt gear motor and put a pully on it. Then I took a boat winch and extended the shaft and put a pully on it and made a tension arm with pully to connected the two. I can use the gear motor or if the power goes out I can mannully winch the plane in

I have the Powertow unit and really like it. I have found it the best all-around for the money. It has a chain for the tire but I've never had to use the chain, even in snow/ice.

It looks good. How do you remove the chocks, to let the plane roll out?

First I hook up my tow bar. If I have someone with me which is 99% of the time I have them remove the last chock. If not I remove it myself. Make the first foot of the ramp has a slight incline then increase it after that. The plane rolls forward very very slowly and I walk to the front and grab the tow bar and guide it out.
