Engine Fire Extinguisher

I have noticed in the advertisements for some aircraft, that they list as a feature an engine fire extinguisher system.
I have never seen this as an item for Skymasters, and yet it makes sense that you might want one, especially for the rear engine.

Has anyone seen such a thing for a Skymaster?? Would this be an STC, or a field approval? What would the agent be?? I see that Halon is falling out of favor.

We have engine fire extinguishers on one of our 337's. The kit is or was made by Pacific Scientific HTL. Kit # is 30180020 STC # SA660WE. The bottles are filled with bromotrifluopomethane. uses a reed type heat detector. 3 per engine. and cost @ $700.00 each time you fire one.

My O-2A (and all O-2's) have fire detectors on the rear engine. There are four reed type detectors set to activate at 325°F. No extinguishers though. I test the system on each first flight of the day preflight engine run.
